Rosy Tetra
Scientific Name: Hyphessobrycon rosaceus
The Rosy Tetra is a beautiful and peaceful schooling fish known for its soft pink-to-rosy colouring, contrasting dark fin markings, and elegant appearance. When settled into a well-maintained aquarium, their colours can become particularly striking, making them a fantastic addition to a planted tropical community tank.
Rosy Tetras are social fish and should be kept in a school of at least 6, although larger groups are recommended. Keeping them in good numbers encourages natural schooling behaviour, helps them feel secure, and creates a more impressive display.

Rosy Tetras thrive in well-maintained aquariums with a combination of planted areas, gentle water movement, and open swimming space. Darker substrate and natural décor such as driftwood can help showcase their beautiful colours.
They readily accept a varied diet of quality flakes and micro pellets, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia. A varied diet can help support healthy growth and bring out their best colouration.
Their peaceful nature makes them suitable for many community aquariums alongside other similarly sized, non-aggressive fish.
A peaceful and elegant schooling tetra that brings soft colour, movement, and beauty to the tropical community aquarium.
