The Electric Blue Ram is a stunning colour variation of the popular German Blue Ram, known for its intense metallic electric-blue colouring and peaceful yet confident personality. Their vibrant appearance makes them a standout feature in a well-maintained tropical aquarium.

Electric Blue Rams are dwarf cichlids that can be kept individually, as a compatible pair, or in carefully planned community aquariums. While generally peaceful, they may become territorial when breeding, particularly around their chosen spawning area.

Electric Blue Rams thrive in warm, stable, and well-maintained water. They can be more sensitive to poor water quality and sudden changes in water parameters than many other community fish, making a mature, cycled aquarium essential.

A planted aquarium with driftwood, caves, smooth rocks, and open swimming areas provides an ideal environment. They enjoy a varied diet of quality sinking pellets or flakes alongside frozen and live foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia.

Suitable tank mates include peaceful fish that are comfortable in the warmer temperatures preferred by Rams. Avoid aggressive species or overly boisterous fish that may cause unnecessary stress.
