🌍 Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa
🐠 Adult Size: Up to 10–12cm

• pH: 7.8–8.6
• Temp: 24–28°C
• Hardness: Medium–Hard
🍽️ Diet: Omnivore – loves quality cichlid pellets, spirulina, and veggie-based foods. Avoid high-protein or meaty foods too often to prevent bloat.
🐟 Temperament: Semi-peaceful (especially for a cichlid!)
🏝️ Tank Setup:
• Minimum 100L for a small group
• Plenty of rocks/caves for hiding
• Sandy substrate preferred
• Works well in mixed Malawi tanks with other mild-mannered Mbunas
🧬 Fun Fact: Despite their bright color, they’re not aggressive like many of their cousins – great for beginners diving into African cichlids!
