One of the most striking plecos available, the Gold Nugget Pleco is prized for its deep black body covered in bright golden-yellow spots and its bold yellow-edged fins. A fantastic centrepiece for larger aquariums, these beautiful catfish spend their time grazing on surfaces and exploring driftwood and caves.

Diet: Algae wafers, sinking pellets, driftwood, vegetables, and occasional protein-rich foods

Gold Nugget Plecos appreciate excellent water quality, plenty of hiding places, and driftwood in their aquarium. While they will graze on algae, they require a varied diet to thrive and develop their best colouration.
