Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus)
Java Fern is a classic, hardy aquarium plant loved by aquarists of all levels. Its elegant, green, elongated leaves create a natural, lush look in any freshwater tank, while being extremely low-maintenance.
This plant thrives in low to moderate lighting and does not require CO₂ supplementation. Like Anubias, Java Fern grows from a rhizome, which should never be buried in substrate. Instead, attach it to driftwood, rocks, or decorations, where it will naturally anchor and grow over time.
Java Fern is perfect for providing cover and resting places for fish and shrimp, and its resilient leaves make it suitable for a wide variety of aquarium setups.
