📏 Fish Specifications:

• Scientific Name: Symphysodon spp.

• Adult Size: Up to 15–20 cm (6–8 inches)

• Diet: Omnivorous – High-quality discus pellets, flakes, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart mixes

• Temperament: Peaceful but best kept in species groups

• Tank Size: Minimum 200 litres (55 gallons) for a group of 5–6

• Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 27–30°C (81–86°F)

  • pH: 6.0 – 7.0 (soft, slightly acidic water preferred)

  • Tank Setup: Tall aquariums with plants, driftwood, and gentle filtration

• Discus thrive best in groups of 5 or more to reduce stress and promote natural behaviour.

• They require very clean, stable water conditions – regular water changes are essential.

• Best housed with calm tankmates like cardinal tetras, corydoras, and dwarf cichlids.
