Often called “Otos,” these small catfish are peaceful, social fish that spend their time grazing on soft algae and biofilm. They are excellent additions to planted aquariums and coexist well with other small, non-aggressive fish.

Otocinclus do best in well-established tanks with stable water quality and should always be kept in groups. Due to their sensitivity, they are recommended for aquarists who can provide consistent care and supplementary feeding once algae levels are low.
